Pivoting from a career in capital markets to launching my own start up has been both bold and deeply fulfilling. The fast paced deal making and pressure tested decision-making I developed in finance have translated seamlessly into the entrepreneurial world. But it was through the MBA that I truly connected with a deeper purpose, exploring sustainability and conscious luxury as core values of modern leadership.

This passion inspired me to create Blancmond, a venture dedicated to lab grown diamonds and ethical fine jewellery. The name blends blanc (French for “white,” symbolising purity) with mond, a nod to both “world” and “diamond”, capturing the spirit of mindful elegance and sustainable vision, ideals I’ve seen reflected throughout my time at Cambridge Judge.

To honour our shared experience, I had the privilege of sponsoring a bespoke 22-carat sapphire cufflink for this year’s Cambridge Judge May Ball. Crafted in a hexagonal cut, it was specially customised as a tribute to our cohort, symbolising strength, unity and bold.

For those contemplating a leap into something new, I hope this serves as a reminder that the MBA at Cambridge is a powerful launchpad, a space to take risks, experiment with purpose and reimagine what their careers can be.
