I’ve only been in Cambridge for a month, but it already feels like home. The city is absolutely charming, and what struck me most from the very beginning is how warm and welcoming the people are.
My wife and I live at Churchill College, which I can only describe as magical. The college grounds are vast and green, offering space to breathe and recharge. We enjoy meals in the dining hall, workouts at the gym and the rare quiet that comes from being surrounded by so much nature. For anyone who values a balance between community and tranquillity, Churchill is a wonderful place to settle.

One of the pleasant surprises of Cambridge is just how flat the city is. Coming from a place where getting around often takes time and effort, I was amazed at how easy it is here. A bicycle quickly becomes your best friend- practical, efficient, and the fastest way to discover hidden corners of the city. Within days, cycling felt completely natural and opened up a sense of freedom I hadn’t expected.
For those of you preparing to arrive, here’s a small tip: make time for punting on the River Cam. It’s one of those quintessential Cambridge experiences, and with good reason. Take an afternoon, rent a punt and drift past the historic colleges while enjoying the calm of the water and the view of centuries-old architecture. It’s a mix of relaxation and adventure, and I can promise it will leave you with lasting memories.

Cambridge is more than just a place to study- it’s a place to live fully. Between the beauty of the campus, the simplicity of getting around and the unique traditions like punting, there’s a rhythm here that makes life both inspiring and enjoyable. I’m only at the beginning of my MBA journey, but I already feel grateful to be part of such a special environment.
