The past two weeks have been full.
The kind of full that leaves you tired, proud, and quietly challenged.

Sharing my first term MBA experience
My experience at Cambridge Judge Business School has been shaped by a curriculum built around the felt experience of leadership, education, and business. As a former member of the U.S. military, I have faced many moments where both my leadership and my intellect were tested in situations that pushed the limits of what is physically and mentally possible. One of my mentors once told me, “Leadership is felt. It does not flash, it glows.” At Cambridge Judge Business School, I finally understood what he meant.
Charting my post-MBA path in renewable energy
I’m Irene Zhang from Cambridge MBA cohort of 2024–2025 and this year has been one of the most transformative chapters of my life. Before coming to Cambridge, I worked as a Sustainability and Energy Transition Consultant at EY, where I first became deeply engaged with the global shift toward low-carbon development.

1 year MBA playbook: how to make it count
After leaving consulting for the Cambridge MBA, Yijing embraced the intensity of a one-year programme- balancing lectures, group projects and late-night case work with building real-world ventures. From exploring university-wide meetups and AI hackathons to mastering venture finance and pitching startup ideas, she used every term to expand her skills, network and ambitions.
Beyond the big wins: The quiet moments that shaped my MBA
As Anna concludes her MBA journey, she reflects on a month that has been nothing short of a whirlwind. From completing her classroom studies and surviving Cambridge’s May Bumps, to attending events like London Climate Action Week and launching her own startup, it’s been an action-packed year. Yet, amidst the chaos, Anna finds herself cherishing the quieter moments – like crafting bracelets for the boat club or enjoying late-night conversations in the pub. Her reflection highlights the importance of slowing down to foster growth, build friendships, and find clarity.
Breaking barriers in construction: Reflections from London International Disputes Week
During London International Disputes Week, Daisy, our Cambridge MBA alumna attended Breaking Barriers – Women in Construction at White & Case LLP. The panel, featuring industry leaders like Rebecca Shorter and Kim Franklin KC, explored the gender disparities in construction and disputes, with women representing only 15% of the workforce and less than 13% of arbitrators globally. The session emphasised the need for equal representation and encouraged women to pursue opportunities, even without meeting 100% of the qualifications. Despite the challenges, the panel highlighted how women are driving change in the industry.
The Ice Breaker: How sports turned classmates into lifelong friends
When most people think of an MBA, they imagine case studies, career changes, and networking events. For us, it also involved skates, sticks, and the unmistakable chill of a Cambridge ice rink. As 32-somethings navigating family life and a return to student living, we didn’t expect one of our most valuable lessons to come in a locker room—but that’s exactly where it did.
Cambridge MBA changed my life – In more ways than I expected
Tony Li joined the Cambridge MBA in September 2022 after a successful entrepreneurial journey in the robotics industry. Applying in the third round, he was unsure whether he’d be accepted — but was not only admitted, he was awarded the Technology and Innovation Scholarship. Over the course of the year, Tony immersed himself in the Cambridge experience: leading the Cambridge China Business Society, co-hosting a global webinar on entrepreneurship, and even meeting his future wife, a fellow MBA classmate. Today, he’s back in Shanghai, co-founding a new venture with a Cambridge alumnus and helping build the University’s alumni network in China — a testament to how one year at Cambridge can shape a lifetime.
My Future Forum – an MBA alumna returns

My MBA term key takeaways: Energy & environment
Wrapping up the Easter Term of the Cambridge MBA, my key takeaways have revolved around Energy. In May, we successfully hosted the 2025 CUEN (Cambridge University Energy Network) Conference. Nurturing technology driven enterprises with global impact – a CUTEC conference

Each of us pitched our startups independently, contributing to a day rich with ideas, energy and global ambition. I […]
Mentoring support across the Business School – the Cambridge MBA and MPhil students
At Cambridge Judge Business School (CJBS), we foster an environment of collaboration, diversity and inclusion. A powerful launchpad – my MBA at Cambridge
Pivoting from a career in capital markets to launching my own start up has been both bold and deeply fulfilling. The fast paced deal making and pressure tested decision-making I developed in finance have translated seamlessly into the entrepreneurial world. But it was through the MBA that I truly connected with a deeper purpose, exploring […]
Finding peace in being undefined – an MBA alumna view
While many of my Cambridge MBA peers were posting exciting job updates, I was genuinely happy for them – but also a little nervous about my own quiet LinkedIn. Since leaving the UK, I’ve been constantly trying things, experimenting, building – but without a job title, a company, a fixed sector, or even a clear […]
MBA and motherhood
Where do I start? That’s the daily voice in my head with mom’s brain and most possibly how I start this too. Motherhood is messy and most of the time confusing. But pursuing my MBA at Cambridge while navigating pregnancy and new motherhood has taught me that we’re capable of far more than we imagine. […]
